Well, Brian and Fern arrived at the boat safe and sound after their trek from La Paz en route to Canada! We sure packed alot in during their visit!
There was a 4th of July parade with Fern performing her "Zoomba" for the crowd!
Nothing like a boat happy hour!
Great Friends!
Fire in the washtub compliments of Doug.
Fireworks in the sky!

ROAD TRIP !!!!

San Carlos to Sedona: After leaving Dad and Maria's with tears in our eyes (well, some of us) we arrived in San Carlos to pick up Doug and Carla for the start of our trip North. We should have turned and run for the border when we saw them making trip after trip to the car with luggage! After some expert packing by the guys we were off! I should mention that when Steve goes on a trip he gets behind that wheel and stops for gas, food and sleep. When traveling with Doug and Carla you stop at a Convenience store for a tall drink and then again at the next one to empty the bladder of said drink and to buy a new one! Steve never did get the hang of this, Carla even had a jingle going every time she spied one! Doug and Carla were very good sports and the great thing is, we are still friends!
Sedona:
Steve took this picture of the beautiful red rock right off Christina and Mark's porch. The views they have surrounding their home are incredible. They put up with us for four nights and we had a great time.
While in Sedona we threw together a last minute party making new friends and enjoying Mary Ann and Dan whom we had not seen in several years since they seem to always be flitting between Hawaii and Sedona.
One thing I truly loved about our visit in Sedona was visiting with my grandsons, Keenan and Rylan. I'm working on a formula for bottling energy, these guys are the first to wake up and the last to hit the sack at night! Stay tuned for the friends and family discount!
Another fun thing was learning how to make soap! Christina's latest hobby is soap making and that is a really, really good thing because she always has wonderful smelling bars to give away! I never realized there was actual danger in making the stuff. I wanted to take a picture of her with all her "soap making gear" on, but she wouldn't hear of it!

We loaded up the car and headed off to Mike and Jeanette's place near St. George, Utah. This is a picture of the Three Bears Sandwich Shop. Oh wait, that's FOUR Bears Sandwich Shop. We love Mexico and we love it's food but there is some sort of comfort derived from a Rueben sandwich and milkshake. Yum!!
